Meet The Team

Dr Matt Young

Dr Matt Young has loved practicing at Medeco Inala since 2006. After graduating from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1989, Matt did 7 years of hospital work in Brisbane before heading to Dalby to work as a country GP. Matt believes a balanced life is essential to happiness and health. To this end he has plenty of interests outside of Medicine. He has proudly been the Souths Rugby Union Club Doctor since 2003 including the Magpies premiership year of 2015. Outside of medicine, Matt loves his wife Freya and kids, Andy and Sophie. He loves adventuring around the globe and has been the captain of the mighty Ned Flanders Cricket Club since 1997. He loves rafting rivers, climbing mountains and hiking around the world.

Dr Jenny obtained her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Queensland. She has worked in several hospitals prior to starting her career in General Practice - Sunshine Coast University Hopsital, Nambour General Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Ipswich Hospital and Lagon Hospital. She has rotated through several specialties - General Medicine, Determatology, Cardiology Medicial Oncology, Pallative Care, Haematology, General Surgery, Urology, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Emergency Adult Medicine, and Emergency Paediatric Medicine. 
She enjoys all areas of General Practice and has a special interest in skin checks, women's health, preventative health cares and all management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart failure.

In her spare time Dr Jenny likes to paint and spend quality time with her dog, who's a small white fluffy Japanese Spitz.
